Enjoying your spaghetti days

If you are determined to do the very best with what you have and to keep finding the best and making it your own, you’ll be far more patient and far less willing to settle for the mediocre. Raising the quality of your life is a function of your imagination.

Ask yourself questions like these and you can raise the quality of your days immediately:

  • What is the best use of my time right now?
  • Who are the best people to spend time with right now?
  • What is the best book I could read right now?
  • What’s the most scrumptious meal I could eat right now?
  • What’s the best way to promote my business right now?

Focus on doing, having, and being the best in the present moment is the secret to mastering the art of living well. Incorporate special pleasures into your daily schedule is a habit worth cultivating.

My favourite special pleasures

  • Visit a Japanese garden or a place designed for serenity
  • Have Japanese manga nearby so I can enjoy when I need a break
  • Drawing manga
  • Eat vanilla ice cream for breakfast
  • Sip coffee and read books in a cafe
  • Sleep in a hammock
  • Get travel brochure of my dream vacation and make a collage to hang in my office
  • Invite my friends to an anime party and stay up all night
  • Have afternoon tea, complete with scones, jam, and cream or cakes
  • Do a photo essay with your friends as the subjects
  • Splurge on something elegant
  • Send flowers to someone who’d never expect them
  • Wander around my favourite areas
Quote

I’d thought tha…

I’d thought that one of the best thing about going to live in another country would be the chance to be ten years old again. Or for the first time. Everything fresh, untested. Learn to speak and think and dream in another language. To see how the new people sip their tea, break their bread, treat each other. Not just passage through, not a wander among the natives, but setting up with them. I knew that to be at home in the world was the way to grow rich. The way I wanted to be rich.

COPIC

I already bought my first set of copic marker. I think that I should just buy them and learn about them while using them instead of learning about them by reading on the internet. Personal experience is better,I think.

Creativity leads to ideas

The difference between creative people and uncreative people is that those who believe themselves to be creative are;those who don’t aren’t

A few affirmations, repeated regularly, can strengthen your self-image as a creative person

  • I am highly creative and love expressing my creativity
  • There are an unlimited number of excellent ideas in my subconscious right now
  • I trust my ideas and act on them quickly
  • My creative spirit cannot be limited. It expands and grows brighter
  • My ideas are the ancestors of my success. I welcome new and better ideas every day
  • The more ideas I use; the more I get
  • I enjoy creating the life of my dreams

Remember that trusting your own creativity means nothing unless you are willing to act on them

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes (Marcel Proust)

Try to see something new every day

Ideas are frequently a solution to a problem or a better way of doing something

Self-fulfilment vs Self-development

Self-fulfilment thinks of how something serves me.
Self-development thinks of how something helps me to serve others.

With self-fulfilment, feeling good is the product.
With self-development, feeling good is the by-product.

Self-development means doing what I am talented and uniquely fit to do, and that  becomes my responsibility.
